Bhubaneswar: While an intense cold wave continues to grip Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a moderate fog warning for 18 districts.
The IMD said there will be shallow to moderate fog at one or two places over the districts of Nayagarh, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Cuttack, Khurda, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Sundargarh, Boudh, Angul, Puri, Keonjhar, Koraput and Sonepur for two days on December 29 and 30.
Meanwhile, the night temperature recorded till 8.30 AM on Monday was lowest in Phulbani at 5.5°C followed by Daringbadi (6.5), Bhawanipatna (9.2), Baripada (9.4), Jharsuguda (9.4), Angul (9.6) and Koraput (9.6),
The night temperature was 12°C in Cuttack and 13.2°C in Bhubaneswar.
Besides, the mercury remained below 15°C at 17 other places including Balasore (12), Chandbali (11.9), Paradip (14.3), Gopalpur (14.9), Keonjhar (10), Sambalpur (12.2), Sundargarh (10), Hirakud (11 6), Balangir (10.2), Talcher (10.4), Titlagarh (11.5), Sonepur (11.4), Malkangiri (12), Nayagarh (12.7), Boudh (10.5), Chhatrapur (14) and Rayagada (10.5).
