Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department on Monday issued a two-day thunderstorm and lightning warning at one or two places in nine districts of Odisha.
The national weather agency, in a morning bulletin, said that though the weather will remain dry for the next 24 hours, there will be a change in the conditions in the subsequent 24 hours with light to moderate rain or thundershower at a few places in the districts of North Odisha and at one or two places in the districts of South Odisha on January 28 and North Coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar and at one or two places in the remaining districts on January 29.
Besides, thunderstorm with lightning will occur at one or two places in Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jharsuguda, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar on January 28 and Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapada on January 29.
The bulletin has also issued dense fog warning at one or two places for two days on January 30 and 31.
Meanwhile, the temperature recorded in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am this morning was lowest in Sonepur at 8 degree Celsius followed by Phulbani (8.3), Titlagarh (9.6) and Angul (8.6).
Besides, temperature remained under 15 degree Celsius in Balasore (11.1), Chandbali (13.9), Cuttack (12.5), Bhubaneswar (13.3), Baripada (11.5), Jharsuguda (10.2), Keonjhar (10.4), Sambalpur (10.8), Sundargarh (11), Hirakud (12.7), Talcher (11.5), Balangir (12), Bhawaniapatna (12), Koraput (11.5), Malkangiri (10), Daringibadi (10), Nayagarh (11) and Boudh (12).
