IMD Issues VVIP Nowcast Ahead Of PM Modi’s Visit To Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: The is no warning for the Odisha capital, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed in its latest VVIP nowcast at 10.15 am on Tuesday.
The city will experience partly cloudy sky with visibility in the range of 3500-4500m. The day temperature is likely to hover around 30-32 degree Celsius with humidity at 65-75%.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar at 11 am. Following which, he will proceed to Gadakana area near Sainik School, where he will interact with beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and unveil 26 lakh house under the scheme. Thereafter, he will leave for Janata Maidan and reach there at 11.55 am for the launch of Subhadra Yojana, under which Rs 10,000 will be transferred to eligible women beneficiaries between the ages of 21 and 60 in the state every year in two equal instalments over a period of five years. Modi is also slated to launch several railway and national highway projects worth Rs 3800 crore during the event between noon and 1 pm.

The PM will depart for Delhi at 1.25 pm.

According to the IMD’s morning bulletin, isolated heavy rainfall may occur in Odisha on September 17 with the Deep Depression weakening into a Depression over Jharkhand and adjoining north Chhattisgarh and moving west-northwestwards across Jharkhand, north Chhattisgarh, south Uttar Pradesh & adjoining Northeast Madhya Pradesh and weaken into a well-marked Low Pressure area during the next 24 hours
