Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had forecast light rain at isolated places in Odisha for two days, beginning Saturday, under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over east Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar.
Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul and Gajapati districts are likely to experience light rain and thundershower on Saturday and Sunday, the IMD bulletin said.
There will some rain in Mayurbhanj on Sunday.
According to the weatherman, shallow to moderate fog will engulf one or two places over north Odisha, Puri, Khurda, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput and Sonepur districts in the next three to four days.
Director, Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, HR Biswas attributed the fog conditions to the moisture availability from the Bay of Bengal. He further said the temperature across Odisha may dip 2 degree Celsius to 3 degree after December 16.
