In A First, Protesters Pay For Train Tickets In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: A citizen’s right to protest is a sign of a healthy democracy. What’s healthier is members of a rally purchasing train tickets to participate in the protest.
Around 500 people from Dhenkanal came to Bhubaneswar to attend a rally on board the Puri-Angul MEMU train. The protesters have set a great example by paying for 500 general seats, a rarity for agitators.
They also requested the station master for some extra time to board the train. Most of the protesters were reportedly tribals.
