Kentucky: A family photo was carried more than 150 miles from Dawson Springs, Kentucky, to New Albany, Indiana, in the wake of deadly tornadoes that claimed the lives of at least 70 people in Kentucky, CNN reported.
“Walked out to my car in New Albany, Indiana and found this picture stuck to the window,” New Albany resident Katie Posten wrote in a post on Facebook. The black and white photo, dated 1942, shows a woman in a striped dress holding a young child in her lap, according to the CNN report.
The tornadoes completely destroyed the Mayfield Consumer Products candle factory. About 110 people were working inside at the time and dozens are feared dead.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has offered condolences to the community of Edwardsville in Illinois after at least six people died at one of the company’s warehouses.

It was a long night. There is major damage all around us. Best guess is the tornado missed us by 5 miles. As they said on the tv coverage, this was a generational event. pic.twitter.com/Vh4ltZjive
