India Beat Kangaroos To Clinch The One-Day Series
Melbourne: India scripted history on Friday as it defeated Australia to win the one-day international series here. With this win, it has defeated the kangaroos in all format of the game, the highlight being the monumental win against them in the test series, the first in that continent since India’s independence.

1. India clinched the one-day international series with a seven-wicket victory with four balls to spare in the third and deciding game. This was India’s maiden bilateral One-day International (ODI) series against Australia.
2. Wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni guided India to the win with an unbeaten 87 with solid support from Kedar Jadhav on 61 not out.
3. The highlight of the match was Yuzvendra Chahal, who in his first outing of the one-day series bagged a career-best 6 for 42 – the joint best ODI figures in Australia. He was declared the man of the match.
4. Chahal had replaced fellow wristspinner Kuldeep Yadav as one of three changes made by India.
