Bhubaneswar: The India International Mega Trade Fair (IIMTF) and Home & Décor Expo 2026 got off to an impressive start in Bhubaneswar, marking the beginning of a nine-day showcase of real estate, lifestyle and home solutions.
Organised by G S Marketing Associates and the Odisha Developers Federation (ODFED), the event was inaugurated by Minister of Housing and Urban Development Krushna Chandra Mahapatra on Friday.
ODFED President Pradipta Kumar Biswasroy emphasised the federation’s role in shaping Odisha’s real estate and urban development landscape. “Platforms such as this trade fair and property show are designed to demystify real estate for consumers and to promote informed decision-making,” he said. He urged the state government to streamline land use approval processes, citing simplified systems in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. He also stressed the need for long-term transport planning and faster civic approvals.
The expo, now in its 22nd edition, brings together over 40 real estate developers showcasing more than 100 projects tailored to evolving consumer preferences. The Real Estate Pavilion is expected to be a major attraction, offering premium residential projects, financing tie-ups and direct engagement with homebuyers. Financial institutions will set up Home Loan Assistance Desks to provide instant consultations, EMI guidance and preliminary loan approvals.
Secretary of ODFED Umesh Pattnaik noted that the fair reflects decades of industry collaboration and commitment to educating homebuyers.
Beyond real estate, the IIMTF features participation from over five countries and 12 Indian states, with a diverse catalogue of more than 35,000 products.
Organisers anticipate a turnout of over three lakh visitors, including families, investors and serious homebuyers, making it one of the largest trade events in the region. The expo is open daily from 1 pm to 9 pm until April 4, with an entry fee of Rs. 40.
