Netherlands: India advanced into the final of Rabobank’s Men Hockey Champions Trophy for the second time in a row following a draw against hosts Netherlands on Saturday.
Mandeep Singh scored for India in the 47th minute from a penalty corner rebound. However, Thierry Brinkman nullified the game by hitting a goal in the 55th minute.
The second quarter saw a much even contest between the teams. Skipper Sreejesh yet again saved a penalty corner brilliantly. Likewise, Netherlands goalkeeper Sam Van der Van saved Harmanpreet’s powerful high flick.
The Dutch needed a win the match to qualify for the final, however, a draw paved way for India into the last game of the tournament.
India will take on defending champions Australia in the summit clash on Sunday at 19:30 IST.
