Indian Airport Best In The World In Flyer Satisfaction
Bengaluru: An Indian airport has been recognised as the best in the world, along with 2 others.
According to the latest consumer satisfaction survey by Airports Council International (ACI), the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru has emerged as the best airport globally.
Abu Dhabi International Airport in the UAE and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in the US are the other two to be recognised in ACI’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Arrival Survey Globally for the year 2022.
KIA outperformed 15 other participating airports from across the world.
“Efficient deboarding procedures, streamlined immigration and customs processes, organised baggage claim services and the availability of infrastructure such as transit hotels and AI-powered assistance robots, aid passengers with a smooth arrival experience at BLR Airport,” Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL), which manages KIA, tweeted after ACI’s recognition.
The ACI survey analysed 30 performance indicators of the passengers’ airport experience. Among parameters covered are ease of finding one’s way, check-in, shopping and dining facilities.
ASQ is the leading airport customer experience measurement, conducted in over 340 airports worldwide.
In June 2022, KIA won the ‘Best Regional Airport in India and South Asia’ during the 2022 Skytrax World Airport Awards event.
