Indian Coast Guard Posts Job Ad For ‘Naviks’; Get Details Here

The Indian Coast Guard issued a job advertisement on Saturday for recruitment of 260 ‘Naviks’ (general duty). The registration window will open from January 26.

Educational qualification:

Plus-Two with Mathematics and Physics from a recognised board with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks.

Age:

Minimum 18 and a maximum of 22 years.

Pay and perks:

The candidate will be placed in basic pay of Rs 21,700, plus DA and other allowances based on the nature of duty and place of posting.

How to apply?

Applications will be accepted online only from January 26 to February 2. Candidates have to log in to www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in and click on the ‘opportunities’ button.
Click on the ‘I agree’ button and the online application will be displayed.
On successful submission of the online application, a unique application registration number will be provided which the candidate has to note down for future reference.
A candidate can choose only one centre from the list mentioned in the job advertisement against the state to which they belong.

Selection procedure:

The online application will be sorted out centre wise.
Shortlisting of the candidates will be based on the higher percentage of marks for the particular centre.
The shortlisted candidates will have to sit for a written test, comprising objective type questions. Those who qualify the written test will have to undergo a physical fitness test.
