Indian Oil Does A ‘Virat Kohli’ With Petrol! Now A Litre For Rs 160
Bhubaneswar: What’s similar between Indian skipper Virat Kohli and petrol prices in the country? One scores runs at will and the other similarly is seeing galloping prices.
In the latest instance, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has launched a premium petrol brand at ₹160 per litre in the city of Hyderabad. The new 100 Octane premium petrol is designed for high-performance vehicles
It is the highest-rated fuel at 100 RON available in India.
The fuel has been rolled out for Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Agra, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, and Ahmedabad. Now, it is being made available in Hyderabad and Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar will be covered under its phase 2 expansion, considering the increase in luxury high-performance vehicles in these cities.
This premium fuel is around ₹66 more expensive than regular petrol.
It is made at Indian Oil Corp’s refinery in Mathura by employing OCTAMAX technology. 100 Octane fuel is available in six countries including the US, Germany and others, according to Indian Oil.
