Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC maintained their winning run in the Indian Women’s League (IWL) 2024-25 with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Sribhumi FC at Barrackpore Stadium on Saturday.
Jennifer (40’) scored the first goal, and Lynda (81’) added another to seal victory for the Kalinga Warriors.
In between, Sribhumi FC scored in the 77th minute through Queenable. But Odisha women regained their lead four minutes later as Neha’s perfect cross was finished off well by Lynda.
Odisha FC women, the reigning champions, moved up to second place in the eight-team league standings with 10 points from 5 matches.
They will next travel to Bengaluru to face Kickstart FC on February 7.
