India’s First Supergirl Movie ‘Indrani’ Gets A Release Date; Here’s How Twitterati Reacted

Hyderabad: India’s first Supergirl movie, titled ‘Indrani’, will be released worldwide on October 27, 2022.

Directed by debutant Stephen, the Telugu film will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

The film, announced in January, went on floors a month ago. The cast includes Yaanea Bharadwaj, Kabir Duhan Singh, Pranitha Jijina, Garima.

Netizens couldn’t hide their excitement and looked forward to watching it.

“Get ready to witness #IndiasFirstSuperGirl , super excited for this, looking forward to watch this,” tweeted one user.


“Woah… What an amazing film.. Too excited for this and amazed with the actions.. #IndiasFirstSuperGirl,” posted another netizen.


Some users posted pictures of Rani Lakshmi Bai and said the modern Indian Supergirl can take inspiration from the freedom fighter.

“Here is actual #IndiasFirstSuperGirl . You will see movie on Jodha and Indira but not on the bravest lady on earth #RaniLakshmiBai,” he wrote.


In an interesting deviation, one tweet suggested the poster of Indrani is a copy of Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow.
