Hours after comedian Kunal Kamra’s video heckling TV presenter Arnab Goswami went viral, IndiGo airlines issued a ban on the former terming his behavior “unacceptable”.
Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri said offensive behaviour meant to provoke and create disturbance inside an aircraft is “absolutely unacceptable”. He also advised other airlines to impose a similar ban on the comedian.
Soon, Air India issued a ban on the artist as well.
“In light of the recent incident on board 6E 5317 from Mumbai to Lucknow, we wish to inform that we are suspending Mr. Kunal Kamra from flying with IndiGo for a period of six months, as his conduct on board was unacceptable behaviour,” the airline said in a tweet.

Kamra responded to the ban with a thank you note and quipped “Modiji might be suspending Air India forever”.
Thank you Indigo a six month suspension is honestly very kind of you…

Kamra on Tuesday criticised Arnab’s journalism and several other aspects including his stand on various topics, and even called him a coward inside Mumbai-Lucknow flight.
Arnab, however, kept his cool and didn’t respond much.
