Balasore: An injured dolphin rescued by from a river mouth in Balasore district succumbed on Friday evening.
According to reports, some locals in Baliapal found the dolphin struggling near the Kankadapal river mouth with blood oozing out of its mouth in the evening.
Following information, Forest officials rushed to the spot. But the dolphin died after some time.
The dolphin’s carcass will be sent for post mortem to ascertain the cause of death, the officials said.
