‘Inside Out 2’ Smashes Global Box Office Records, Earns $295 Million In Opening Weekend
Mumbai: American animation film’ Inside Out 2’ is shattering box-office records.
Produced by Pixar Animation, the Walt Disney Pictures film has amassed a never-before $295 million globally during the opening weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It has surpassed major 2024 releases like ‘Dune 2’ and ‘Godzilla x King: The New Empire’.
Released on June 14, nine years after ‘Inside Out’, the sequel is being lauded as one of the biggest animation films.
Directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen, ‘Inside 2’ revisits the life of Riley who is 13 years old now and navigating the complexities of adolescence in San Francisco.

The sequel has introduced new emotions — Anxiety, Embarrassment, Ennui and Envy — thus adding depth to Riley’s internal world.
The film features voices of Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan again, along with new additions Tony Hale, Liza Lapira, Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri, Adele Exarchopoulos, Paul Walter Hauser and Kensington Tallman.
‘Inside Out 2’ has been released in multiple theatres in India also, both in English and Hindi (subtitles).
