Bhubaneswar: An inter-ministerial team will arrive in Odisha on May 12 to assess the extent of damage caused by the extremely severe cyclonic storm, Fani, in coastal districts of the state.
The team, led by the additional secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Vivek Bharadwaj, will arrive in Bhubaneswar on the evening of May 12 and hold a high-level meeting with senior officials at the State Secretariat.
The team will leave for a three-day visit to the cyclone-hit districts on May 13 for an on-the-spot assessment of the damage. After winding up its visit, the team, before leaving for Delhi, will hold another round of meetings with state government officials in the evening on May 15.
Officials said the central team will submit a field report to the Home ministry.
