New Delhi: State-run power giant NTPC launched a special recruitment drive for women on the eve of women’s day. International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on March 8.
“On Women’s Day, NTPC Ltd, India’s largest integrated power company announces plans for recruiting only women executives as a special recruitment drive across its areas of operations,” the company said via a statement as reported by Mint.
The statement said this drive will further strengthen women power in India’s largest power generation company. Such recruitment drive will further enhance gender diversity as a parameter for NTPC, the statement said.
NTPC has been working on improving its gender ratio wherever possible. Initiatives have been taken to attract more woman applicants.
The company has completely waived the application fee for women employees at the time of recruitment. To support the women workforce, NTPC adheres to policies like Child Care Leave with Pay, Maternity Leave, Sabbatical leave and NTPC Special Child Care Leave on Adoption of a Child/Delivering Child through Surrogacy, the statement said.
