Internet Finds Trisha Krishnan’s Look At Vijay’s Oath-Taking Ceremony Similar To Aishwarya Rai’s 2000 Appearance!

Chennai: Actor Trisha Krishnan, who grabbed attention at Vijay’s oath-taking ceremony on Sunday, drew comparisons with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s iconic look from 2000.

Fans pointed out similarities in the styling, traditional attire and overall elegance, sparking a wave of nostalgic reactions online.

Trisha chose an elegant sea-blue saree from Pothys for Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

She styled it with a customised blouse by Niram, accessorised with diamond-and-ruby jewellery from GRT Jewellers.

Her look was completed with a low bun decorated with jasmine flowers, bold kohl-rimmed eyes, and fresh dewy makeup.

As social media users revisited old photographs, an image of Aishwarya from her meeting with Late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2000 began circulating online.

In the picture, Ash was seen wearing a saree in a similar shade, adorned with intricate golden-thread embroidery.

She paired the outfit with gold jewellery, a centre-parted bun, winged eyeliner, and soft pink lipstick, prompting many to draw comparisons with Trisha’s recent look.

Comparing the images of the two actors, an X user posted, “Nandini and Kundavai,” referring to their characters from the ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ franchise.

The same user also posted Aishwarya’s old photograph and wondered how fans could forget her iconic saree look.

One social media user compared Trisha’s recent appearance with a still of Aishwarya from ‘Kandukondain Kandukondain’.

Another netizen shared photos from Aishwarya’s meeting with former PM Vajpayee and wrote, “This was the template.”

An Instagram user also posted the same images to compare the looks of Trisha and Aishwarya, despite the two appearances being separated by more than two decades.

However, the user incorrectly identified the reference behind Aishwarya’s outfit.

The post claimed that Trisha had recreated a saree worn by Aishwarya in ‘Iruvar’, when in fact the image was from a photograph Aishwarya had shared on Instagram.

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president C Joseph Vijay made history by becoming Tamil Nadu’s first CM from a non-Dravidian party in six decades.
