Investiture Ceremony: SAI International School Inducts Student Leaders For 2024-25 Session

Bhubaneswar: Col Rohit Singh, Sena Medal Commanding Officer, 120 Infantry Battalion (TA), graced the Investiture Ceremony of SAI International School as chief guest at Indraprastha Auditorium, where members of Student Council for the 2024-25 academic session were inducted on Saturday.

A soul-stirring rendition by the School Choir started off the investiture ceremony.

The newly-appointed student leaders received their badges, symbolising their roles and responsibilities besides marking the beginning of their journey in upholding the school’s legacy of leadership and excellence.

Head Boy Ayushman Thakur, Head Girl Sivakshi Dixit, the House Captains, Vice-Captains, Sports Captain, Cultural Secretary and council members took the oath to honour the school’s values and ethos.

“I am deeply honoured to be entrusted with the role of Head Boy. I vow to lead with integrity, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on our school community. Together with my fellow leaders, we will strive to make SAI International School a hub of growth, unity, and endless possibilities,” said Ayushman.

Sivakshi felt privileged ‘beyond measure’ to be chosen as Head Girl.

“I am dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment for my peers. With passion and determination, I pledge to support and uplift every member of our school family, ensuring that SAI International School is a place where dreams take flight,” said Sivakshi.

Congratulating the student leaders, Col Singh emphasised the importance of leadership roles. He shared his experiences from the Army while addressing SAIoneers.

SAI International School Chairperson Dr Silpi Sahoo said the Investiture Ceremony has set a benchmark for nurturing leaders capable of translating their vision into reality.

“The school has placed its hope, faith, and mantle of responsibility upon the newly-appointed student cabinet. Remember, joining the student council is not merely about assuming roles, it is about embarking on a transformative journey to become visionary leaders who drive meaningful change. This role will equip you with skills and experiences that extend well beyond the classroom, shaping your future endeavours in college, professional environments, and beyond,” she said.
