Jagatsinghpur: The oil refinery of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) in Jagatsinghpur district will remain shut down for 22 days for maintenance work.
Jagatsinghpur Collector Sangram Keshari Mahapatra told the media on Saturday that the refinery will be closed from July 25 to August 15.
Mahapatra further said it was necessary to carry out the maintenance because no such work has been conducted at the refinery since March 2018.
He said around 700-800 people from the nearby villages will be engaged in the maintenance work. Moreover, Section 144 will be clamped around the refinery premises to avoid large congregation in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines.
