Mumbai: Even as fans eagerly await the trailer, the runtime of Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited horror-comedy ‘Bhooth Bangla’ has been revealed.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the film’s duration is 170 minutes, that is around 2 hours and 50 minutes, making it one of Akshay’s longest releases in recent years.
The actor’s last film with a similar runtime was ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’, which ran for 2 hours and 40 minutes.
“Bhooth Bangla is around 2 hours and 50 minutes long. After the censor process, the run time may reduce or increase by a few minutes. The exact duration will be known closer to the release date, but as of now, it is said to be around 170 minutes,” a source was quoted as saying by the portal.
The recently-released teaser and songs of the film have already created a lot of buzz.
‘Bhooth Bangla’ is scheduled to be released on April 10, but some reports suggested that the makers might push the release date of the film by a week.
“Fans of Akshay are urging the superstar to consider pushing the film’s release from April 10 to April 17, expressing their desire for the film to enjoy a longer theatrical run. Known for always valuing audience sentiments, we’ll have to now see if Akshay will take this fan demand into account,” a source was quoted as saying by News18 Showsha.
However, there’s no official confirmation about the release date being postponed.
The film also stars Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Asrani and Rajpal Yadav in key roles.
