Mumbai: Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle recently celebrated her 23rd birthday.
It called for a big bash, which was attended by several celebrities.
That’s not a surprise, considering the birthday girl’s lineage and the fact that she is set for her acting debut in ‘The Pride Of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’. But what piqued onlookers’ interest was the presence of Team India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj at Zanai’s birthday party.
Zanai recently shared several pictures from the occasion on Instagram, one of which shows a lively moment where the young woman and Siraj look to be engaging in an intimate conversation.

Though Zanai also shared pictures featuring her with Asha ji, Jackie Shroff and other cricketers like Shreyas Iyer and Siddhesh Lad, netizens were quick to pick the frame with Siraj and wondered whether there was more to it than just friendship.
Some users hilariously called Zanai ‘bhabhi’ (sister-in-law) in relation to Siraj, who was appointed in the rank of a DSP with Telangana Police last October.
“Are you going to marry Siraj bhaijaan?” asked one person, while another quipped, “DSP sahab is like — yaha mae pigal gaya.”
“Ab to confirm hai bhabhi DSP Siraj bhabhi pehle se shak tha,” said one user, suggesting he had suspected a relationship all along.
“Bhabi ne sirf Gujarat Titans ko follow kiya, kyuki DSP hai iss bar Gujarat me,” noted another user, referring to Siraj joining Gujarat Titans for the upcoming IPL season.
There were comments of, “Is this a hint of something more?” and “Bhabhi spotted!”
Reddit users also engaged on the issue, with one claiming Zanai frequently interacts with Siraj on social media.
However, another user on Reddit who claimed to know Zanai dismissed the rumours, insisting that there is no romantic link between Zanai and Siraj.
Zanai is focussing on her career as she prepares to play Rani Sai Bhonsale in the historical drama on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Her debut single Kehndi Hai will also be released on January 27.
