New Delhi: The government told the Supreme Court on Thursday that it has already issued an Ordinance on curbing pollution.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta notified the apex court about the Ordinance during a hearing on the issue of air pollution in the National Capital Region due to stubble burning in the neighbouring areas of Delhi.
A bench of Chief Justice S A Bobde and Justices A S Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian told the Centre that it will examine the Ordinance before passing any direction in the case, news agency PTI reported.
“Even the petitioners would like to see. Let’s hear it next Friday,” the bench added.
