New Delhi: Indian ace tennis player Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik have been blessed with a boy.
This was confirmed by the new father on Tuesday with this post on Twitter, “Excited to announce: It’s a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled. #BabyMirzaMalik.”

The news was also confirmed by the Mirza camp with sister Anam posting an instagram message:

She had been with her throughout her pregnancy.
Shoaib Malik’s manager and agent, Ameem Haq, also tweeted: #BabyMirzaMalik boy is here! Baby and mother are all smiles, the dad is over the moon.
Filmmaker Farah Khan was among the first to congratulate the couple. In an Instagram post, she wrote, “Finally!! Best news in a long time!! Congratulations @mirzasaniar@realshoaibmalik @anammirzaaa@imranmirza58 n of course the nani n daadi God bless our lil angel”

Sania had confirmed the pregnancy in April by stating that the baby would have the surname “Mirza Malik”.
