New Delhi: Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Sunday expressed concern over ‘too cautious’ approach of the different investigating agencies in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. He tweeted that it is ‘about time’ the CBI registers an FIR under Section 302 (Punishment for Murder) given the information obtained so far.
On September 12, he had tweeted that three investigating agencies — CBI, ED and NCB — have unearthed ‘huge evidence’ to prove in the court that the actor was murdered.

In its first information report (FIR), CBI had named Rhea Chakroborty, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandya Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi. They were charged for criminal conspiracy, abetment of suicide, theft, criminal breach of trust and wrongful confinement under different sections of the IPC.
Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh had also expressed his frustration when the meeting between CBI and the AIIMS forensic team was postponed recently.
Vikas Singh tweeted, “Getting frustrated by the delay in CBI taking a decision to convert abetment to suicide to Murder of SSR. The Doctor who is part of AIIMS team had told me long back that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it’s death by strangulation and not suicide.”
This was, however, refuted by AIIMS panel chief Sudhir Gupta who said that no doctor can give an opinion by merely seeing the ligature marks.
