J P Nadda Reaches Odisha To Attend State BJP Executive Meet In Puri
Bhubaneswar: National president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J P Nadda arrived in Bhubaneswar on Friday to attend the state party unit’s executive committee meeting being held in Puri.
Nadda, who is also Union Health Minister, was accorded a rousing welcome by the senior BJP leaders and workers after he arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar.
The Odisha BJP is holding its first executive committee meeting in Puri after forming its government in the state. Nadda is slated to address the two-day meeting.
State BJP president Manmohan Samal told reporters that besides Nadda, the meeting will be attended by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, state ministers, all party MLAs and MPs and Union Ministers from the state.
All the coordinators for assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies, district presidents, office bearers of various fronts will participate in the two-day meeting, he said.
The saffron party is likely to discuss a roadmap on the prevailing political situation and other crucial issues along with welfare programmes of the party government during the two-day meeting, a party leader said.
The saffron party may also review the assembly segments where its candidates lost by a slender margin in the recent elections.
The BJP won 78 of the 147 Assembly seats in the state and 20 of the 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.
