‘Jaago’ Programme At All SOA Campuses To Help Slum Children

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to help slum children, the SOA (Deemed to be University) will expand its social service initiatives, under the ‘Jaago’ banner in all its campuses.

Children of slums near SOA campuses will be involved in the ‘Jaago’ programme.

The ‘Jaago’ programme started in campus-I. It will begin in Campus-II and III by the end of March, informed SOA’s Students Welfare Dean Prof Jyoti Ranjan Das at the award giving function of ‘Jaago Talent Hunt’ on Saturday.

SOA’s  Vice-Chancellor, Prof Amit Banerjee, Vice-President Shaswati Das and ‘Jaago’ coordinator Anita Panda were present among others on the occasion.

A ‘Jaago Talent Hunt’ was organised at SOA on International Day of Happiness, i.e. March 20. Debate, song, painting, quiz and anchoring competitions and group discussion and writing were organised as part of the programme.
