Jagatsinghpur: Seven new COVID-19 cases were reported in Jagatsinghpur on Thursday, taking the district’s tally to 368.
According to the district administration, all the new cases were reported from quarantine centres.
Of these, three were from Jagatsinghpur block, and two each from Nuagaon and Raghunathpur.
The administration further said six of the new patients had travel history from outside the state. These included two returnees each from Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu and one each from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
It also said one patient was shifted to Sishu Bhawan for treatment.
On the other hand, the collector made a surprise visit to the District Headquarters Hospital. He visited the various wards, met doctors and even supervised the work of healthcare staff at the hospital.
With 272 recoveries, Jagatsinghpur district has 96 active cases at present.
