For the first time in India, British luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has entered the top three of luxury car brands. It displaced Audi to make it to the number 3 slot.
This is also the first time when a non-German brand figures among the top three.
Tata-owned JLR sold 5,000 cars in 2019 while Audi’s sales crashed by 29 per cent to 4,594 units the same year.
Mercedes, which sold more than 13,000 units in 2019, continues to be at the top, followed by BMW at around 9,000 units.
