Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an interaction with a worker from Odisha’s Ganjam during his visit to Kuwait.
The Prime Minister greeted Odia worker, Babul, with ‘Jai Jagannath’ as he began the conversation at the Gulf Spic Workers Camp in Kuwait. During his brief interaction, Modi enquired about the Odia worker, his native place, education and the job he was doing in Kuwait.
Responding to Modi’s queries, Babul said he had his education in Khallikote in Ganjam and that he has been working in the Metal Department of Gulf Spic for over 16 months.
He thanked the Prime Minister for giving Odisha the opportunity to host the grand Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention-2025. The event will enable Odisha to showcase its rich culture to the rest of the world.
As Babul gave credit to the PM’s leadership for the country’s rapid growth, Modi said the effort of 140 crore Indians is the driving force behind the nation’s transformation.
The PM also praised Babul by saying that people like him, who send money to their family in India by working in foreign countries, also contribute towards the progress of the country.
Notably, the Prime Minister on Saturday invited the Indian diaspora in Kuwait to visit and participate in the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas to be held in Bhubaneswar from January 8, 2025.
In his address to the members of the Indian diaspora at the ‘Hala Modi’ community event in Kuwait, Modi urged them to come with their Kuwaiti friends and not to forget to visit the Shree Jagannath temple in Puri.
