Jajpur: Using the special power vested on them by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Sarpanch of Sunguda Gram Panchayat (GP) under Badachana block in Jajpur district on Wednesday ordered for 48-hour shutdown in the SP to prevent spread of COVID-19.
The locality, which had witnessed a sudden surge in migrants from other states. will be sanitized during this period.
The shutdown will imposed from 5 pm. However, all medicine shops will remain open.
Jajpur has so far reported 71 corona positive cases. Among these cases are people, who had recently returned from Surat and West Bengal.
