Bhubaneswar: Filling stations across Odisha are operating with skeletal staff in view of the ‘Janata Curfew’ on Sunday to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease (COID-19)
“Though petrol pumps, which is an essential service, across the state will remain open, we are expecting only vehicles used for emergency services at these stations on Sunday,” said Sanjay Lath, General Secretary of Utkal Petroleum Dealers’ Association.
The petrol pumps along highways as well as cities will function with only three staff, he added.
Almost 19,000 private buses will remain off the roads during the 14-hour curfew period. The private owners’ association has decided to suspend bus services from 6 am to 8 pm.
