Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ace para-badminton player and world champion Pramod Bhagat won a silver medal in the men’s singles event at the Japan Paralympics- 2020 in Tokyo on Sunday night.
Bhagat lost to world no-2 Daniel Bethell of England 21-16 and 21-19 in an exciting match.
Pramod had earlier defeated Maman Nurjaman of Indonesia and Vikram Kumar of India in straight sets 21-7 and 21-17.
Expressing happiness over his performance, the ace para shutter of Attabira in Bargarh district in a tweet said that it feels nice to end the year with a medal.

Pramod had won the gold by defeating Bethell in the China Para-Badminton International 2019 on September 20 this year.
He was recently conferred with the prestigious Arjuna Award. He is a native of Attabira in Bargarh district.
