Bhubaneswar: Sayantan Dhar from Odisha has topped the JEE-Advanced examinations, the results of which were declared on Friday.
His secured 51st place in All-India ranking from the Kharagpur zone.
Sambit Behera, who topped the JEE Mains with a perfect 100 percentile points, topped the ranking list in JEE-Advanced as well in the SC category.
“The key to success is the amount of time you devote to studies. You have to also set a target everyday and revise the syllabus thoroughly,” an elated Dhar told reporters after the results were declared.
In all, 33,349 students cleared the exam, of whom 5356 were girls.
Behera, who has also made the State proud with his success, had attributed his success earlier in an interview to regular studies, practice and problem-solving.
He did his coaching from Kota in Rajasthan and had taken the pole position in JEE-Mains along with 14 other students by securing a perfect 100 percentile.
Sambit’s father Chandramani Behera is a Manager in SBI in Koraput and his mother is a doctor.
