JEE (Main) Answer Key Released

The answer key of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2 conducted this month has been released, the National Testing Agency said in a statement.

Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar also tweeted saying that candidates will be able to see their response to questions and will get an opportunity to challenge the answer keys between April 14-16.

Over 9.58 lakh candidates across the country had registered for the JEE exam, which was held on April 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12, through the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

This year the JEE Main exam was for the first time conducted biannually i.e twice a year. Javadekar had earlier announced that ”JEE Mains and NEET, the two national-level engineering and medical entrance examinations will be held twice a year from 2019. The same student can take the exams both times a year and the best score will be counted.”

Previously, JEE Main was conducted only in April. This year, the 1st edition of the JEE Main exam was conducted during January 8-12, 2019 and the result was declared on January 19 and 31 for the two papers respectively.

The NTA, in a statement, said it has uploaded the answer key for the candidates to challenge. This facility is available from April 14-16, 2019 (till 11.50pm). The candidates are required to pay Rs 1,000 online as processing fee for each question challenged. The processing fee will be refunded if the challenge is found correct. No challenge will be entertained without receipt of processing fee.
