Bengaluru: Nine people, including 3 children, died and 11 were injured after a jeep collided with a truck on National Highway near Sira, Tumakuru district, 70 km from Bengaluru, on Thursday.
“The cruiser jeep was carrying daily wage workers who were moving towards Bengaluru city in search of work,” SP Rahul Kumar Shahpurwad to ANI.
The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment and their condition is stated to be stable.
