Anugola: Jindal Foundation felicitated 10 candidates of its flagship UTKARSH Coaching Programme who secured notable ranks in the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) examination.
The achievers were — Sangram Pradhan (5th rank), Suman Gupta (15th), Somnath Pati (17th), Sourav Mohapatra (30th), Subhalaxmi Patra (34th), Shatarupa Mitra (49th), Akshata Sahoo (71st), Rabindra Rout (107th), Subhasmita Jena (111th) and Sanjay Purty (141st).
Chief Operating Officer Rajiv Kumar, Executive Director P.K. Biju Nair and Group Head – CSR, Jindal Foundation Rishi Pathania and HoD – CSR, Anugola Jayanta Kumar Mohanty attended the felicitation ceremony at Jindal Steel, Anugola.
Rajiv Kumar congratulated the candidates, appreciating their perseverance and determination in turning their dreams into reality. He assured that Jindal Steel, through its social arm Jindal Foundation, will continue to support and nurture such talented individuals, enabling them to emerge as responsible and inspiring contributors to society.
Biju Nair encouraged the achievers to uphold the values of public service and contribute meaningfully to society.
Under UTKARSH, free coaching and academic guidance is provided to civil services aspirants from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Over the past five years, 68 aspirants have cleared the OPSC examination, while more than 120 others have qualified in various Central and State Government examinations through the programme.
The achievers acknowledged the support extended by Jindal Foundation, including academic guidance and mock viva-voce sessions conducted by Suraj Kumar Mishra, Founder & Chairman of IAS Gurukul.
