Jio Filmfare Award For Vidya Balan & Irrfan Khan, Pritam Bags For Rare Musical ‘Jagga Jasoos’
Most acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Hindi Medium’ bagged the Best Film Award at 63rd Jio Filmfare Awards 2018 held at Mumbai on Saturday night while the actor himself adjudged as Best Actor for his impeccable performance.
For portraying an ambitious middle-aged homemaker in ‘Tumhari Sulu’, Vidya Balan claimed the Black Lady for the sixth time.
Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred on yesteryear Bollywood actress Mala Sinha and popular music director, Bappi Lahiri.
India’s Oscar nomination movie based on conducting election in Mao affected areas ‘Newton’ bagged the Critics Award for Best Film while Rajkumar Rao bagged the Best Actor Critic Award (male) for ‘Trapped’. ‘Dangal’ fame Zaira Wasim received Best Actor Critic Award (female) for ‘Secret Superstar’.
Music director Pritam won best background score and music album award for Ranbir Kappor and Katrina Kaif starrer rare musical film ‘Jagga Jasoos’. While Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari bagged Best Director Award for ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ Konkana Sen Sharma adjudged as Best Debut Director for ‘A Death in the Gunj’.
Besides, Arijit Singh and Meghna Mishra received Best Playback Singer in male and female respectively. Vijay Ganguly and Ruel Dausan Varindani received the Best Choreography Award for the popular song ‘Galti se Mistake’.
