New Delhi: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region Jitendra Singh has tested positive for COVID-19.
Taking to Twitter, Singh on Tuesday wrote: “I have today tested COVID positive with symptoms.”
He asked people, who had come in contact with him recently, to get themselves checked.

According to media reports, he had taken the first dose of COVID-19 on March 1.
On April 17, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju announced that he had tested positive for the virus.
On April 16, Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar said he had tested positive for coronavirus and urged those who came in contact with him in the last few days to get themselves tested.
Union Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar had informed about having contracted the virus on April 13.
