Bhubaneswar: The Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) has set a target to increase the steel output capacity of its plant in Angul to 20 million tonnes by 2030.
Briefing mediapersons after a meeting with the principal secretary, Steel and Mines, Raj Kumar Sharma at the State Secretariat here on Friday, JSPL chairman Navin Jindal said for the expansion of the plant to meet the additional 20 million tonne production of steel, his company will invest about Rs 50,000 crore.
He also maintained that despite the acute shortage of coal and iron ore at times, the company will move ahead with its mission to achieve the target.
