Barbil: JSW has arranged buses for hundreds of students in remote villages of the mining belt to travel to schools in Barbil, Joda and Koira towns every day.
JSW Foundation, the CSR arm of the company, has deployed seven school buses in all in mining affected villages to safely transport students.
A 32-seater bus was deployed in Narayanposhi of Sundargarh district on Tuesday. It’s the second bus JSW has provided to this village for hassle-free transportation.
The bus service, inaugurated by Koira Sarpanch HK Deora in the presence of JSW officials, will cater to students from Narayanposhi, Rengalbeda, Kasira and Bhanjapali to Koira.
Earlier this month, two school buses were launched for students of Jajang area. Inaugurated by Jajang Sarpanch Priyanka Majhi, the 32-seater bus travels from Bandhuabeda, Jurudi and Jajang to Joda.
Two more buses were unveiled for Nuagain area by Sarpanch Pabitra Munda.
Another bus has been deployed in Ganua region.
It’s great news for the children of these villages, for whom it has always been difficult to commute to school due to lack of private or public transport.
