JSW PTPL Sets New Record In Cargo Loading At Odisha’s Paradip Port

Paradip: JSW Paradip Terminal Private Limited (JSW PTPL) has set a new record in loading cargo in a vessel at Paradip Port.

The company loaded 1,41,200 tonne of iron ore in cape vessel ‘MV Star Lyra’. This is the highest loading of iron ore in single vessel in Paradip Port since its inception. The cargo was shipped by JSW Steel Ltd.

JSW Infrastructure and JSW Steel initiative has facilitated the port users to ship iron ore and pellets in cape vessels at JSW PTPL to reduce the logistics cost.  The JSW PTPL started its commercial operations of 30 MTPA fully mechanised coal loading facility at the ;port on March 15, 2022.

The terminal was inaugurated by PL Harnath, chairman of Paradip Port and Arun Maheshwari, JMD, JSW Infrastructure Ltd. It has berthed its first Panamax vessel MV Captian P Egglezos for loading approximately 76,000 tonne of thermal coal for Andhra Pradesh Power Development Company Limited. 

JSW Paradip East Quay Coal Terminal will be the prime infrastructure facility for the coastal thermal plant power producers of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka to move coal from Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) to the end users.
