Bhubaneswar: The JSW’s Integrated Steel Plant Project with a capacity of 13.2 MTPA will soon come up at Jatadhar in Jagatsinghpur district.
This was revealed during a meeting of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik with JSW Steel CMD Sajjan Jindal through video conference on Monday. The State Government has allocated land, water and power for the project.
The Odisha government has allocated land, water and power for the proposed project, which is being fast-paced.
During the discussion, the chief minister stressed maximum value addition of resources within the state for accelerating job creation and revenue generation.
While expressing satisfaction over support from the Odisha government, Jindal informed that the JSW was fully committed to all its projects in the state.
He further said that JSW will be tying up with IIM Sambalpur to create “JSW Centre for Development Studies for Odisha.” “JSW has plans to invest over Rs one lakh crore in Odisha in the next 10 years,” he added.
JSW Steel will also establish a 100-bed hospital and a school at Koida in Sundergarh district in PPP mode with an objective to develop mining areas for the benefits of the local people, he added.
