JSW Workers Killed In Odisha Accident: PM Offers Condolences
New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed his condolences over the loss of lives in a road accident in Odisha’s Jharsuguda.
“The accident in Odisha’s Jharsuguda is saddening. My thoughts are with the families of those who have lost their lives in the accident. I pray that those injured recover at the earliest,” Modi tweeted.
Seven workers of JSW Bhushan Power and Steel Ltd were killed and more than 20 workers were injured after a Hyva truck rammed their bus on the Sambalpur-Jharsuguda Biju Expressway on Friday night.
Nearly 60 workers were returning in the bus from JSW’s plant in Thelkuli to Jharsuguda when the accident occurred around 7 pm on Friday.
The coal-laden truck first hit two cows near Sarbahal, then jumped the road divider and hit the bus.
