Barbil: JSW Steel’s Odisha Mining Division celebrated the 77th Republic Day with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm across its operational locations in the state, reinforcing its dedication to nation-building and the core values of the Indian Constitution.
On this occasion, unfurling of the national flag was the main highlight, along with a series of cultural programmes organised at Narayanposhi Mines, Nuagaon Mines, Ganua Mines, Jajang Guest House, the Barbil Office, and the Bhubaneswar Office, in which employees, senior leadership, and community representatives participated.
At Narayanposhi Mines, the national flag was jointly unfurled by Chief Sustainability Officer, JSW Group, Prabodha Acharya and ,Odisha Business Head, JSW Steel Odisha Mining Division, Prasanna Panda. The ceremony was graced by Odisha Head of Operations Ram Shankar Sharma, and Odisha HR Head Chittaranjan Bahanipati, along with other senior officials.
Addressing the gathering, Panda extended warm Republic Day greetings to all employees and stakeholders. He underscored the organisation’s strong commitment to community welfare. He informed the gathering that a modern 100‑bed hospital is currently being constructed at Koida to further strengthen and enhance healthcare services in the region.
Acharya highlighted the significance of upholding the values enshrined in the Constitution and reaffirmed JSW Steel’s contribution to India’s industrial development and sustainable future. He noted that Republic Day serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to promote equality, unity, and progress.
The celebrations also featured cultural performances, community engagement activities, and the felicitation of security personnel and frontline teams in recognition of their dedicated service.
