Jumbo Menace In Odisha’s Bargarh District
Bargarh: Two elephants in Nrusinghnath forest range in Padmapur sub-division of this district have wreaked havoc by destroying paddy crop for the past two days.
Several farmers, who have spent sleepless nights in view of the jumbo scare, expressed resentment over destruction of their paddy crop that is ready for harvest.
The Forest department officials, however, have alerted farmers to be watchful against the pachyderm destroying their crop.
Locals have demanded preventive action against the elephants and sought intervention by the Forest authorities to save their harvest and lives.
