Chennai: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik met Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) founder-president and actor Kamal Haasan on Wednesday, on the sidelines of Odisha Investors’ Meet here.
The MNM leader had called on the Chief Minister to seek his advice.
Speaking to mediapersons after the meeting, Kamal Haasan said that he met Naveen to “appreciate him as a fan” and also seek his “advice.”
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister had addressed the Investors’ Meet and invited the potential investors to make investment in Odisha.
“I am glad to announce that we are organizing the Second Edition of our flagship initiative, the Make in Odisha Conclave, from November 11 to November 15 in Bhubaneswar, to showcase the manufacturing prowess of the state and the investment potential in diverse sectors,” he said.
On Tuesday, Naveen had inaugurated the newly-constructed Odisha Bhawan in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.
The Bhawan has been built at a cost of Rs 22 crore and has state-of-the-art facilities.
During the inauguration, the Chief Minister recalled his association with Late J. Jayalalitha and said that she was kind enough to provide the plot of land. The fundation stone of this Bhawan was laid on May 11, 2012.
