Bhubaneswar: Kaneej Fatima of Madrasa Islamic Arabia of Dilawarpur in Kendrapada district has topped the annual Maulvi examination (equivalent to Matric examination) conducted by the Odisha State Board of Madrasa Education Board (OSBME) this year.
Fatima has secured an A Grade (92 per cent) by scoring 644 out of 700 marks.
Expressing happiness over her results, she said she aspires to become an administrative officer or a teacher.
All 212 students (190 Regular and 20 ex-Regular) have cleared the examination.
Of 212 students (128 boys and 84 girls), Fatima has secured A Grade (90% and above) 11 students have secured Grade A2 (between 80-89%), 37 students Grade B1 (between 70-79%), 68 students Grade B2 (between 60 and 69%), 46 students Grade C (between 50-59%), 32 students Grade D (between 40-49%) and 17 students Grade E (between 33-39%).
